]]>At “Drama to Live By”, guests will be able to listen to the radio drama Camberwell, engage in discussion around heart-healthy living, and hear a presentation by Nichele Hoskins entitled, “I Can’t Live without My Salt”. In addition, guests can receive more information about Bethesda, Camberwell, and heart healthy living, as well as participate in giveaways. Admission is free, and lunch will be provided.
Camberwell is a radio drama produced by the Birmingham based non-profit Media for Health. It follows the struggle of an African American community to get and stay healthy. Whether it’s avoiding the dangers of second hand smoke, making neighborhoods safe and more walkable, or rethinking age old recipes, the Camberwell stories reveal common struggles to be well. Camberwell episodes can be found on www.camberwellstories.org.
Nichele Hoskins is the Senior Editor for Heart & Soul magazine, as well as a fitness instructor at the YMCA in Birmingham. After medical care for her heart conditions, she is both a patient advocate and spokeswoman for WomenHeart. This will be Ms. Hoskin’s second year presenting “I Can’t Live without My Salt” at Bethesda, after receiving many accolades from her similar presentation in 2011.
